Your Kam's days may be over in Champaign, but no one said the party had to stop because you're in Chicago now (thank goodness). There are plenty of places to cheer on the Illini at some great University of Illinois approved bars right here in the Chi. So throw on some orange and scream "I-L-L" at some of these great Illini Bars.

Schoolyard Tavern (3258 N Southport)

Wearing their motto "Sorry we party" on their sleeve, Schoolyard is happy to host you and your game day shenanigans every Saturday this football season. This relaxed and fun attitude is a great place to watch the game and get a little rowdy. Schoolyard Tavern has a great selection of tasty food for game days including $5 mini burgers, $8 touchdown tots, and $6 homemade chili in a bread bowl. And of course, the drinks: $5 Miller and Coors stadium cups, $5 O&O's, and $20 Orange and Blue fishbowls. So let loose and if anybody looks at you weird, just recite them The Schoolyard motto.

Rebel Bar and Grill (3462 N Clark St)

Rebel, as their name suggests, is the alternative to the typical Wrigleyville "scene." If you've been to Wrigleyville, you know what this means. Rebel bar is a great place to bring your whole group of fans to eat and drink as they even accept group reservations for the game. Rebel offers $6 32oz Bud Light Illini Keeper Cups, $4 Oskee Wow Wow Bombs, $5 Build A Burger! So call and reserve your table now!

Bird's Nest Bar (2500 N. Southport Ave)

This neighborhood bar is a great place to relax and watch the game. The Bird's nest is a smaller bar with a more intimate feel than a party atmosphere. So pick up a $4 Miller Draft stadium cup and hope for a win! But as any sports fan knows, sometimes the games don't turn out exactly as you'd like. But no need to worry, Bird's Nest has other great amenities if the Illini aren't playing their best football. At Bird's Nest you can play a game of pool, throw some darts, and slide your hand across that all too famous white Golden Tee gyro ball.

Barn & Company (950 W. Wrightwood)

Football and BBQ, need I say more? Barn and Company is one of the best places to cheer "ILI-INI!" in the city. Catch the game on one of their 20 Plasma screens, but I would suggest the 200" one. You can see every blade of grass. As for grabbing a drink, Barn & Co. offers $4 Bud Light Stadium Cups, $4 Absolut Cocktails, $4 Jameson Shots, $15 Mix N' Match Buckets. As for food, I would suggest the ribs or the beef brisket, but really, it's all amazing. So enjoy some delicious pig as The Illini toss the pig skin around.

Durkins Tavern (810 West Diversey)

You can see the flowing row of Illini flags from a half mile away. Durkins truly loves the Illini and can't wait to host you for the game. Their specials are changing all the time, but they are always offering great drink deals and fan giveaways. On Saturday, October 5th, Durkins will be giving away free Illini shirts to the first 100 fans to enter the bar. So show up early and show your Illini pride!
