Do you like high-quality, all-natural food and artisan producers? Then the Pastoral Artisan Producer Festival may very well be your very own Super Bowl. The fifth annual event, presented by The Specialty Food Association and Pastoral Artisan Cheese, Bread & Wine, takes place April 25 at the Chicago French Market.

The free-to-attend festival brings together upwards of 100 food artisans from across the globe, gathered together in the West Loop to showcase their distinct wares. It was conceptualized several years ago by Pastoral's owners Greg O'Neill and Ken Miller, who strove (and strive today) to showcase the talents and hard work of local, national and international purveyors of quality goods. As a result, the event at the Chicago French Market is basically the Epcot of artisanal foods. The event takes place from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., offering guests plenty of opportunity to peruse, sample, taste, talk with producers and sip wine, beer and spirits.

Seeing as Chicago's preeminent cheese shop is behind the event, you can definitely expect bountiful cheeses. There will also be salumi, small-batch wines, spirits, beer, sweets and plenty more. Start saving your artisanal appetite now.
