Craft breweries, independent-owned restaurants, and a local distillery all under one roof? If you’ve never been to Ravenswood, the upcoming Taste of Ravenswood might be the event that will inspire you to jump on the Brown Line to explore one of Chicago's most charming neighborhoods. Spend a few hours on November 13 making new friends and trying some of the fine local flavors at this foodie fete. [more]
Brought together by the Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce, the event goes from 7-10pm inside the Ravenswood Event Center’s celebrated Billboard Showroom. Wander around at your leisure and take in items from neighborhood favorites such as Ampersand Wine Bar, River Valley Farmer’s Table, and that most wonderful bar and eatery, Fountainhead. (you’ve been to their rooftop, right? I certainly hope so.)
Of course, no one would attend such an event without the promise of fine libations. You won’t be disappointed as area distillery KOVAL will be offering up some of their organic whiskeys, gins, and other boutique liquors. Fans of the hops will not be disappointed as the beverage menu also includes sips from Half Acre Brew Company, Metropolitan Brewing, and Chicago’s newest craft cider, Broke Nose Cider.
Tickets are $65 and include unlimited food tastings, 20 tasting pours, and a commemorative Taste of Ravenswood sampling glass. You can browse for Taste of Ravenswood tickets online. See you there!
