Remember the Choose Your Own Adventure series? Here's your chance to jump into Chicago history, choosing your own adventures that will have you exploring the city's secrets over an exciting 24-hour journey. Whether you're a history buff or just a night owl who enjoys walking the city streets at night, ChicaGO24, the Chicago History Museum's annual 24-hour event, promises to reveal hidden city secrets on a series of action-packed tours on Friday, May 8 through Saturday, May 9.

Choose your adventure from more than 30 expert-led, off-the-beaten path tours: Step backstage at the Civic Opera House, home to world renowned Lyric Opera, then tour the most famous theatrical sites in the city by bus on the Architecture on Stage tour (May 9 at 9 a.m). Hop aboard the Green Line South "L" tour to learn about Chicago's transportation history while riding on Chicago's oldest "L." Stroll the Mag Mile with Museum costume curator Petra Slinkard on the Along The Magnificent Mile®, a walking tour that explores the retail history of the landmark shopping district. The adventure-packed 24 hours of history and fun kicks off with a Sunset River Cruise led by Museum curator John Russick, Friday, May 8 at 6:30 p.m. As you cruise the Chicago River, you'll hear tales of the city's rapid growth and transformation with the lit-up city skyline as a dramatic backdrop.

Individual tours are available for ticket purchase. Prices vary per tour. All ChicaGO24 tour tickets include complimentary general admission to the Chicago History Museum on the same day as the scheduled tour.
