The third annual World Basketball Festival hits the Chicago lakefront this month, and should provide an exciting look at the future of USA Basketball.
The Festival, in Chicago from August 13-17, will feature members of the 2014 USA Basketball Men's National Team as they train for the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup and participate in youth skills clinics and community events including basketball court refurbishments and school symposiums. Come see NBA stars like Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry and the Chicago Bulls' Derrick Rose take the court and prove the U.S. is still the world's best basketball nation.
NIKE, Jordan Brand and USA Basketball are presenting sponsors of the 2014 World Basketball Festival.
Among those expected to attend is Chicago's own Anthony Davis, a member of the 2014 USA National Team and a 2012 Olympic gold medalist. He will be joined by a collection of stars throughout the festival, which will include a grand opening ceremony at the 63rd Street Beach House.
The exciting conclusion of the Festival will take place at United Center, as the 2014 USA Men's National Team will face the 2014 Brazil Men's National Team in an exhibition gameon Saturday, August 16 at 8 p.m. CDT. Tickets start at $25, and can be purchased here.
