Have you ever eaten out at an Italian restaurant and found yourself wishing that you could re-create the experience at home? Here's your chance to learn how to cook great Italian appetizers, entrées and desserts in your very own kitchen with a little help from the experts. Two Chicago emporiums of delicious Italian cuisine, 312 Chicago and Eataly, both offer in-house cooking lessons, giving you the opportunity to learn how to prepare some of the most popular and delicious recipes you enjoy when eating out.
Executive Chef Luca Corazzina will be teaching "Scoula 312" at 312 Chicago on the first or second Saturday of every month, August through December. Guests will have the opportunity to learn authentic Italian recipes from Chef Luca, a Padova native, who grew up learning to cook by his mother's side. A variety of techniques and recipes will be taught, including:
- The Art of Grilling - August 9 at 12 p.m.
- The Art of Fish - September 6 at 12 p.m.
- The Art of Risotto - October 11 at 12 p.m.
- The Art of Meat - November 8 at 12 p.m.
- The Art of Holiday Recipes - December 6 at 12 p.m.

Chef Lidia Bastiach, Italian culinary legend, has handcrafted a variety of classes at Chicago's newest Italian cooking school within Eataly, home of all things Italian in Chicago. Tailored with passionate food lovers in mind, these classes will teach you the essentials to bringing home of all things Italian in Chicago. La Scuola di Eataly offers two types of cooking classes: workshops and chef's kitchen experience. At Chef's Kitchen events, Eataly chefs and visiting guest chefs prepare their signature dishes, fresh pasta recipes, classic risotto preparations, and much more right before your eyes. Guests enjoy everything that is prepared, paired with complementary wines.
Chef's Workshops are special hands-on classes that will teach you how to prepare a signature Italian product such as fresh pasta, gnocchi, pizza or mozzarella; you will then get to try your hand at executing their newly acquired skills.
