March Madness

‘Tis the season of March Madness once again! You've filled out your work, family, friends and possibly the Warren Buffet bracket respectively, and now you're ready for the Madness to begin. Go out with friends and fellow alumni to catch all the ups and downs, blowouts and upsets of the NCAA championship tournament this March at some of these great sports bars in Chicago.

Benchmark (1510 N. Wells)

Come to Old Town's favorite sports bar to catch the games this month. Benchmark is a great establishment with some killer eats. Throughout the National Championship, enjoy $5 Jameson Shots, $10 mini burgers, and a $25 bucket filled with champion sized 16oz Miller Lite or Coors Light.

Barn and Company (950 W. Wrightwood)

You might as well have some of the best BBQ in the city while you watch the tournament. Barn and Company is Lincoln Park's smokehouse and drinking well, and has some of the best and most fun March Madness deals; I'll explain the fun part in a second. Thursdays during the tournament, Barn and Co. will offer a $3 Red Solo Cup deal on select beets. On Friday, get your fix with a $25 fishbowl. Now on Saturday and Sunday, come in at 10:00AM and enjoy $10 bottomless Bloody Marys and Mimosa! What a deal! Now for the fun part; with the "You Pick ‘Em" deal, Barn and Co. you select which team you think is going to win the game. If you "pick'em right," you can get 15% off your order!

Lion Head (2251 N Lincoln Ave)

Lion Head is another great Lincoln Park sports bar to catch the games. This year, Lion Head posted a Facebook bracket and the winner of the bracket will receive $100, so fill it out if there's still time! During the entirety of the tournament, Lion's Head will offer $3.25 16oz Millet Lite Cans, so be sure to catch that deal and some epic games.

Old Town Pour House (1419 N Wells St)

Old Town Pour House

Old Town Pour House is the perfect spot to watch the games. Centrally located between Lincoln Park and the Gold Coast, you'll find neighborhood patrons and visitors alike enjoying diverse food options including  Chicken Wings with Chipotle Mango Barbeque Sauce and Coriander Citrus Slaw for $12, Stuffed Potato Skins with Guinness-braised Short Rib, Big Ed's Gouda, Apple Wood Smoked Bacon Jam, and Scallions for $11, and Buffalo Shrimp Quesadilla with Crispy Rock Shrimp, Monterey Jack Cheese, Ranch Dressing, Tomatillo Pico de Gallo, Sour Cream, and Scallions for $14.
