America's Cup World Series Chicago: June 10–12, 2016

Get a unique perspective of history in the making at Louis Vuitton's America's Cup World Series this weekend. Not only is Chicago hosting the sailing competition for the first time, but it's also the first time in 165 years that the competition will take place in fresh water. These viewing options provide the best opportunity to see the race and the Chicago skyline.

The cup will commence on June 10 with a night of festivities, including an opening ceremony, practice races, and a fireworks show. On June 11 & 12, 6 national teams will race in the next event of the series in Lake Michigan. Chicago's First Lady & Mercury Cruises

Chicago's First Lady Cruises

Sister cruise lines Chicago's First Lady and Mercury Cruises offer special viewing cruises for America's Cup spectators. The cruises are available Saturday, June 11, and Sunday, June 12. Boarding at 12 p.m., the historic boats will departs from Riverside Gardens at 12:30 p.m. and return at 3:30 p.m. Tickets are the least expensive of the options listed for Saturday and Sunday, only $95 for ages 13+. Your admission includes a Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba box-lunch. A cash bar will also be on-board.

Chicago's First Lady and Mercury are also offering a Special Friday 3D Fireworks Cruise. Tickets are only $35 for adults.

Shoreline Cruises

Shoreline Sightseeing

Shoreline Sightseeing is offering two hour cruises on June 10 -12. The race-viewing boats will depart from Navy Pier. Tickets are available for $89 to watch the practice races on June 10th or $129 per ticket to view the competition on June 11 & 12. All passengers must be 21 years old. Entertainment Cruises:

Entertainment Cruises, an official hospitality partner of 2016 LVACWS Chicago, is offering four different cruise ships to view the race this weekend: Odyssey, Mystic Blue, Seadog, and Spirit of Chicago.

Odyssey Cruise Navy Pier

Mystic Blue, Odyssey, and Spirit of Chicago will embark on Saturday for their special on the water race viewing cruises. Odyssey offers additional cruises on Friday and Sunday as well. Saturday adult tickets prices range from $209 to $249.90, and include a buffet lunch, DJ entertainment, and same-day general admission to Race Village.

Seadog Cruises Chicago

If you have a need for speed, check out Entertainment Cruises' Seadog. The Seadog will take you on lakefront speedboat tour for a lower cost of $27.95 per person. The speedboat cruise option will be available Friday - Sunday. The Seadog is also offering two 2016 America's Cup Viewing Cruises. The 40-minute, viewing cruises depart at 1:20 and 2:20. Tickets are $34.95 per adult and give passengers an up close view of the race from the security zone.

Chicago Club "Elite" Hospitality Experience

The Chicago Sports Commission is providing the most elite viewing option with the VIP Hospitality Experience at Navy Pier. Spectators will have first-class treatment and luxurious amenities that are exclusive to Chicago Club "Elite" Hospitality guests. Individual Saturday or Sunday tickets are priced at $1250.00 per person, and must be purchased with a group of 4 or more. Guests can enjoy the Elite Hospitality Lounge and access to VIP viewing from the rooftop or water ring. They can also look forward to special gifts, high-quality food and drinks, and interactive engagements and displays.    

Get a front row view from a luxury yacht with the Elite Hospitality's on-water viewing option. Elite Hospitality ticket holders can enjoy food and an open bar at the course boundary for an additional $750.

Vertiport Helicopters

Vertiport Chicago is offering VIP helicopter experience for the event. For $500 per person, a helicopter will provide aerial views of the sailing competition and breath-taking views of the Chicago. Tours depart at 1:30, 2:00, & 2:30 p.m.
