Common at AAHH! Fest Chicago

Music fans will have a busy weekend soaking up live sounds at Common's hip hop event AAHH! Fest and at the Hyde Park Jazz Fest running through Saturday and Sunday, September 24-25. Although both fests feature popular mucisicans from across the country, homegrown talent is also a highlight.

South Side native Common organized the AAHH festival in 2014 to turn a positive light on his hometown and raise funds for his local non profit Common Ground Foundation as well as Kanye West's youth-focused Donda's House. It was a triumphant display with locals Common, Lupe Fiasco, Jennifer Hudson and Kanye West making a surprise appearance.

AAHH! Fest in Chicago

After skipping last year's crowded festival season, AAHH! Fest returns this year to Union Park with an exciting line up that includes The Roots, J Cole, Bilal and Vic Mensa. The Chicago contingent includes Common, Jeremih and on the Saturday all-ages community event, poet Malik Yusef. The community stage also offers auditions for rappers who want the chance to appear on Sunday's main stage. Tickets are still available online
