On the heels of Jason Dufner's impressive victory at the PGA Championship, the golf world will look to Chicago as Rory McIlroy tries to defend his title at the BMW Championship (September 12-15). The event will feature 70 finalists, and is the third leg of the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup.
The BMW Championship returns to the Chicagloand area from Sept. 9-15, hosted by Conway Farms Golf Club in suburban Lake Forest this year.
The last 13 BMW Championships - 11 of which were played at Cog Hill Country Club in suburban Lemont - have seen 11 different winners; only Tiger Woods has won more than one BMW Championship since 2000 (Woods has won three times, all at Cog Hill).
Last year's field included the biggest names in golf, including Woods, Phil Mickelson, Adam Scott, Bubba Watson, Lee Westwood and Dustin Johnson. This year's field figures to be equally exciting, and the FedEx Cup standings will hang in the balance.
Not only will players be competing in the standings for the FedEx Cup, but the 11th hole at Conway Farms will present a unique challenge. That will be home of the 2013 Hole-in-One Award, where any player hitting a hole-in-one will win an all-new BMW M6 Gran Coupe.

If you can't make it to Conway Farms, the tournament will air live on Golf Channel and NBC. Also, be sure to follow the tournament on Facebook on the BMW Golfsport page.
The BMW Championship is also the signature fundraising benefit for the Charles "Chick" Evans Caddie Scholarships from the Evans Scholars Foundation.
