Millennium Park Film SeriesLooking for a free family-friendly activity that's fun for all ages? Summer is one of the best seasons in Chicago, if only because there are so many ways to enjoy the beautiful weather. But what am I most excited for? The upcoming Millennium Park Film Series, in partnership with the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, will present a different movie every Tuesday night at 6:30pm, starting with Ferris Bueller's Day Off on June 21!

Hubbard Street Dance The Art of Falling

Millenium Park Grant Park Music FestivalSummer in Chicago is defined by outdoor festivals and none are more beloved than the annual Grant Park Music Festival. Located in the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park, the fest is the country's only outdoor, free classical music series of its kind. A Chicago summer staple since 1935, the three-month long festival hosts a broad range of classical musicians.

Chicago Women's Funny FestivalIf you are in need a few laughs, the 5th Annual Chicago Women's Funny Festival, onstage at Stage 773 (1225 W. Belmont) June 16-19, promises 400 funny ladies and 80+ shows that will have your sides splitting from laughter. This is a 4-day event that combines both fresh and familiar faces performing everything from stand up to sketch.

Kendall CollegeChicago is a rich training ground for chefs and the culinary milieu remains one of the finest in the world, with something to please any palate at any price point. A number of these fine culinary masters working in the Loop, River North, and parts beyond received their training at Kendall College, which has been training people in the hospitality arts for decades.
