Wrigley Field Beer Liz Garibay

The baseball history loving world has embarked on a season long celebration of 100 years of Wrigley Field.  While the majority of us Cub fans can wallow in our misery of never having witnessed a major league championship, we can certainly bask in the glory of cheering on our team in one of the world's grandest sport cathedrals.  Although the ballpark is my own personal holy place, what makes Wrigley Field particularly special for me is the historic neighborhood she calls home.  And her saloons help tell her story.

Festivals in Chicago are good and plenty but not many are as unique and eye opening as the Chicago International Movies and Music Festival, returning for its sixth year May 1-4. CIMMfest brings music and film makers from across the globe together to illustrate the two mediums' inseparable ties throughout history. It brings four days of concerts, screenings, panel discussions and interviews to Chicago's Logan Square and Wicker Park neighborhoods--99 events in 96 hours to be exact!

National Travel Tourism Week

Join Choose Chicago and The Illinois office of Tourism on Friday, May 2 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Goose Island Wrigleyville before the Cubs and Cardinals face off in a classic rivalry game and help us celebrate tourism and the benefits of taking time off. The event is free and open to the public. You'll hear live music from Chicago's very own Ghosthouse. Plus, we will be giving away great prizes including a chance to see the Cubs play in St. Louis later this summer.
