The party begins at First Bites Bash, the official kick-off to Chicago Restaurant Week, one of the most popular and highly anticipated events in the city. But it doesn't end there. First Bites Bash

First Bites Bash is the official kick-off event for Chicago Restaurant Week. Held in the magnificent Great Hall in Union Station, First Bites Bash welcomes thousands for a food-filled evening. Executive Chef Paul Kahan will host this year's event, where you will get to sample tastings from over 50 of Chicago's most celebrated chefs and restaurants. Not only will you be among the first to taste what participating restaurants will feature on their Restaurant Week menus, you'll also be helping a good cause. A portion of the proceeds will benefit two local charities, Gilda's Club Chicago and Pilot Light.

Chicago Restaurant Week
January 24-February 6, 2014 Multiple Restaurants
Chicago Restaurant Week has become a popular tradition, so much so that, for 2014, the event has been extended to 14 days of delicious dining. The event will take place at over 280 restaurants in downtown, the neighborhoods and the suburbs. Each establishment will offer prix fixe menus starting at $22 for lunch and $33 and $44 for dinner (excluding beverages, tax and gratuity). Nothing is required to participate in Restaurant Week, and locals and visitors alike can reserve a table at any of the restaurants taking part in the event. Chicago Theatre Week
February 11-16, 2014 Multiple Theatres
If you're a live theatre fan, then Chicago Theatre Week was made for you. 2013 marked the inaugural year of this world-class event, and it proved to be such a success, that it will be returning again with even more shows, promotions and special deals from Chicago theatres. Visitors and residents will have the opportunity to choose from more than 75 productions and sample the extraordinary range of Chicago's theatre scene - for a very reasonable price.
