Types of information collected on the Web sites
We collect personal data through a registration process and when you download documents from the CCTB Website. If you wish to receive further contact from us, such as product updates, there is a box to enable you to indicate your preference.
When you register on the The Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau Web sites, we collect your title, first and last name, post code, email address, and preferences. If contact by post is selected, you will be prompted for your postal address, and if contact by phone is requested you will be prompted for your telephone numbers.

Navigation information
Each time you visit the CCTBs Web sites, anonymous navigation information is collected by our servers. This information includes:
• the type of browser and operating system you are using;
• the address of the referring site (ie the previous site you had visited) and the Website you leave our site to visit;
• the date and time of your visit;
• your server's IP address (a number which is unique to the machine); and
• the address of the pages you accessed.
This provides the CCTB with information about how the Web sites is used and navigated, including the number of hits, the frequency of visits and the duration of visits to each Web page on the site. It does not personally identify individual users.
