Metra is the premiere commuter rail system serving northeast Illinois with four major downtown terminals: LaSalle Street, Millennium Station, Ogilvie Transportation Center and Union Stations. Metra’s 241 stations throughout the area, including O’Hare Airport, make traveling to many popular Chicago area destinations easy and convenient. Trains run frequently during rush hours, and every one to three hours outside of those periods. One Way fares start at $2.75. Metra also has money-saving fare programs like the $7 Weekend Pass, which offers unlimited rides on Saturday and Sunday, and Metra’s Family Fares Program, which allows up to three children 11 and under to ride free with a fare-paying adult. Traveling aboard Metra is as enjoyable as the destination.
