BAD Couture

Thu, 04 Jun 2009

Dress for success Guys have been renting tuxes for decades, so it’s long overdue that ladies get the same luxury with dresses. BAD (a.k.a. Borrow a Dress) Couture was invented after owners Bree Lara and Teonna Ingram realized they didn’t have enough clothes for every day of their busy social calendars and figured many other women are in the same boat. So they opened this Lakeview shop where they rent out all styles of cocktail and special-occasion dresses in sizes 0–18 and even maternity selections. Every frock in the shop is from the current season (featured designers include Alexander McQueen, Badgley Mischka, Marchesa and more) and dresses are loaned out for three days at a time (rates start at $35). 3221 N Sheffield St (773-904-8735, shopbadc.com).
