Chicago's GLBT ShoppingVisitors looking for a little retail therapy or for special items to take home can choose from countless Chicago stores including many GLBT-owned and -friendly stores.

Throughout the year, Macy’s Chicago stores are a dream destination for shoppers. Macy’s on State Street – the second largest department store in the world - offers 800,000 square feet of merchandise from international brands to homegrown favorites. This Chicago landmark is also an architectural treasure. While you are there, be sure to eat in the Walnut Room. It's one of the city’s oldest and most famous restaurants known for its magnificent decorated tree that gets displayed throughout the holiday season.

Another Chicago icon is Water Tower Place, which features over 100 stores filled with anything your heart desires. Along the Magnificent Mile, you'll find major department stores like Nordstrom which anchors The Shops at North Bridge, and Bloomingdale’s – anchor of The 900 Shops

Chicago's GLBT Shopping is UnbeatableTrendy shops also abound in GLBT-friendly Lakeview and Andersonville. Check out Wiggleyville lifestyle boutique for pets, The Leigh Gallery offers an eclectic mix of original art. Women & Children First is one of the country’s largest feminist bookstores. Jan Dee Custom Jewelry specializes in commitment rings. Of course, this is just a sampling of the countless options available.
