Inspired by Studs Terkel’s influential book Working and created by Project&, Working in America is a multimedia exhibit that profiles 24 people from across the country whose experiences represent the daily challenges and triumphs of working.

Through powerful photographs by Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Lynsey Addario alongside text telling raw, honest stories, Working in America captures the experiences of a veteran-turned-urban-farmer, a retired oil field worker, a high school principal, a Lyft driver, and a professional escort, among others.
