The original Food Truck Social returns to West Town for another homage to Chicago’s beloved kitchens-on-wheels! As its name suggests, food trucks will be the centerpiece at this neighborhood fest. Unlike year’s past, there will be no live music stage focus. Instead, local DJs will spin background music just to enhance the mobile eating experience for adults and children.
Some of the most popular Illinois Food Truck Owner Association affiliated food trucks will congregate in Wells High School parking lot, offering a potpourri of dishes and desserts. There will be Sampler Ticket that allows consumers to stroll around and try sample-sized portions from any food truck onsite, and also sample sponsored beer, wine or spirits.
West Town Art Walk
The popular Food Truck Social brand is marrying up with the West Town Art Walk to create a one-of-a-kind neighborhood wide food and art festival. The 6th annual West Town Art Walk celebrates art in all forms - visual, musical, culinary, fashion - along Chicago Avenue and Ashland Avenue. During this free Friday and Saturday event, attendees can enjoy whatever art forms they like most from Chicago artists showcased within dozens of West Town shops, businesses, restaurants, and galleries. Established in 2011, the West Town Art Walk pays homage to the neighborhood's diverse community.
