Grant Park Music Festival - the nation's only free outdoor classical music series - continues its 78th season and the celebration of Grant Park Chorus' 50th anniversary with a performance of this oratorio which conjures up festive wine parties, thunderstorms, hunting expeditions, peasant dances, and a stirring ode to labor. Carlos Kalmar will lead the Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus in this program.
