Cows are pretty much the mascot of Chicago - Mrs. O'Leary's famous cow, our basketball team, and fiberglass cattle are sprinkled throughout our streets. As part of Chicago's 175th birthday, the Lincoln Park Zoo will host a special cow-themed event for some old-fashioned farm and family fun. Here is the schedule:
- 10 a.m. - Unveiling of cow statue at the Farm-in-the-Zoo
- 10:30 a.m. - Cow-milking demonstration
- 10:45 a.m. - Windy City enrichment for Farm-in-the-Zoo animals begins
- 11 a.m. - Meet a chicken
- 11:30 a.m. - Pony grooming
- 12 p.m. - Windy City enrichment for zoo animals begins
