Chicago Air and Water Show

Join millions of people lining Chicago's lakefront to watch skilled pilots, parachutists, divers, and dozens of military and civilian aircraft and boats during the 2010 Chicago Air & Water Show August 14-15. You'll have a front row seat for a free two-day thrill ride that's the largest spectator event in the U.S. and longest ongoing show of its kind in North America.

Your heart will race when the astounding U.S. Navy Blue Angels roar onto the scene with their high-speed, high-altitude precision maneuvers. And you can't help but hold your breath as parachutists from the U.S. Army Golden Knights Team jump from aircraft 12,500 feet in the sky and plunge toward the lakefront at 120 mph. These and other amazing military and civilian performers will again make this year's show one of the world's premier aviation events. Action begins with exciting water demonstrations both days at 11 AM and continues until 4 PM. For latest news on the complete lineup, click here.

Come early to save your place in the sand at North Avenue Beach, the center of the action. Viewing is also excellent for a long way along the lakefront in either direction.
