Chicago Beer Experience
On Chicago Beer Experience's Beer Tour, groups are guided through a walking tour that stops at an Irish pub, a beer-and-bacon bar, a specialty beer and wine store, and a punk rock bar. The result? A fun three-hour excursion that reveals the ins and outs of this beloved beverage.
The tour starts near the Lincoln Park and Lakeview neighborhoods, a few miles north of the Loop. Over the course of three hours, your groups will be led on a walking tour by a guide who weaves together beer history, Chicago stories and expert knowledge. (Examples: Groups will learn the secrets of the perfect Guinness pour and discover the ins and outs of brewing processes.) It's great for both self-proclaimed beer connoisseurs and novices alike.
Of course, what beer tour is complete without beer tastings? During the tour, your groups will stop off at four distinct bars and taste 16 different styles of beer, including several local brews — some of which are paired with food. Insider tip: Tell your groups to rate the beers they taste so they can order their favorites throughout the rest of their trip.
