KIMPTON HOTEL ALLEGRO GETTING HISTORIC NEW REMODEL

 Kimpton Allegro Hotel

As it gets ready to celebrate its 17th birthday this year, the Kimpton Hotel Allegro is planned to unveil renovated rooms, a new lobby with enhanced features and an embrace of a refined art deco design. Kimpton calls it a "revival of unabashed lavishness," akin to the extravagance and elegance of "The Great Gatsby."

Designed by Simeone Deary Design Group, the inspiration for the design of the space was drawn from the building itself being located in the heart of Chicago's vibrant downtown theater district. The idea of the 1920s theater district hotel location set the scene for a glamorous pageantry of dressing up and all great things that go along with it.

A new focal point of the lobby will be a new lobby bar, creating an atmosphere for social gatherings pre or post theater, dinner, a night on the town, etc. Designed to be a destination within the place they are staying, this amenity of the hotel encourages guests to gather and socialize with craft cocktails and creative bites - unexpected from the traditional lobby bar stereotype.

The grand unveil is set for July 2015.
