Choose Chicago's Brian Schodorf is responsible for capturing, editing and presenting Chicago's profound beauty and distinctive charms in a way that draws visitors to the city in a way not possible through other mediums.
SETTING UP THE SHOT
Brian's goal is for Choose Chicago to have, "the most creative, well produced, and effective video content in the visitor industry." To achieve that, he's created and maintained a sophisticated and calculated library of archival footage on several upcoming projects to market Chicago and McCormick Place. FOCUSING THE LENS
According to a recent forecast by Cisco Systems, the number of online video consumers will double in the next three years to over 1.5 billion people. As video becomes an increasingly valuable marketing tool, dynamic content and gifted talent will be determining factors for succeeding in the digital space. Brian has worked with ESPN, NBC, and WGN. He's a Chicago mainstay with a pair of degrees from Columbia College, including a Masters in Media Management. This summer, the writer/director won a Regional Emmy Award for his stirring film The Wayman Tisdale Story, which received "Best Documentary" honors.
CAPTURING THE MOMENT
YouTube is the world's second largest search engine. As a global marketing destination, we can't underestimate the power of video. He's been able to capture the unique Chicago experience from a jet with the US Army's Golden Knights and courtside with the Chicago Bulls. Each moment is framed, edited and polished to represent our city to the world. Chicago is a beautiful city and Brian is responsible for the close-up shot. And, action!
