CHICAGO - Choose Chicago announced today the selection of São Paulo-based firm Interamerican Network to support Chicago's tourism efforts in Brazil. Interamerican will provide support for travel trade sales and media relations in this important Latin American market.
"Brazil is one of our top overseas inbound markets," said Warren Wilkinson, Chief Marketing Officer for Choose Chicago. "With extensive efforts underway to ease the visa process for Brazilian travelers to the United States coupled with daily nonstop service between São Paulo and Chicago, we have a great opportunity to draw more visitors from this key Latin American market. After a comprehensive review, we're pleased to select Interamerican Network as our agency of record."
The selection of Interamerican is the first step in a long-term strategy of growing the Brazilian market. Choose Chicago will work with Interamerican to develop compelling reasons for Brazilians to travel to Chicago, whether for the first time or as returning visitors.
"It's an honor for Interamerican to be chosen to represent Chicago," said Danielle Roman, Vice President of Interamerican Network. "Chicago is a sophisticated city which offers unprecedented urban and cultural experiences", she added.
Cibele Moulin has been appointed account manager for trade and journalist Camila Anauate will manage media relations.
