BIENNIAL IN 2015
The City of Chicago and the
Graham Foundation are partnering to present the first-ever Chicago Architecture
Biennial as the largest international survey of contemporary architecture in
North America. The inaugural event will take place October 1, 2015 through
January 3, 2016, and will include robust public programming and exhibitions
featuring the world's leading architectural talent.

Travel & Leisure Magazine announced that The Langham, Chicago made the
list of Best Large City Hotels in the U.S., debuting in the top spot, an
impressive achievement for a hotel that opened a year ago. The hotel was noted

FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE TO MUSEUM CAMPUS SOUTH IN AUGUST
During the month of August, a free weekend shuttle service will take visitors around Museum Campus South, where they can experience some of Chicago's most popular South-side institutions. The shuttle runs every weekend in August from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and from noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays. The shuttle begins at The DuSable Museum and runs in a loop stopping at each institution during the designated hours.

ROBOT REVOLUTION EXHIBIT PREMIERES AT MSI IN 2015
The Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago, announced the creation of a new national touring exhibit, Robot Revolution. The two-gallery, 14,000-square-foot exhibit explores how robots will ultimately be our companions and colleagues, changing how we play, live and work together. Guests will have the chance to interact with robots that have rarely been shown to the public, and see live demonstrations of some of the most cutting-edge technology. The new exhibit debuts Spring 2015.

CATHAY PACIFIC ADDS MORE FLIGHTS TO HONG KONG FROM CHICAGO
Cathay Pacific Airways added three weekly passenger flights to Hong Kong from Chicago, bringing the total to 10 flights per week. The new flights offer much improved connections to Cathay's Asia network, including over 22 destinations in mainland China and six in India.

EMIRATES BEGINS SERVICE FROM CHICAGO O'HARE
Emirates began service from Chicago O'Hare International Airport on August 5, marking its first flight to the city. The daily service links Chicago to Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates. Chicago is the ninth U.S. city served by Emirates.

SOUTHWEST LAUNCHES NEW ROUNDTRIP FLIGHTS TO WASHINGTON, D.C.
Southwest Airlines launched new daily nonstop service between Chicago Midway International Airport and Ronal Reagan Washington National Airport. The new service started August 10 and includes six daily roundtrips. Starting September 30, Southwest will increase service on the route with three additional flights for a total of nine.

SOHO HOUSE HOTEL CHICAGO OPENS
Chicago's Fulton Market district in the West Loop neighborhood welcomed the new SOHO House Hotel, which opened its doors on August 11. The six-story, 35-room hotel includes a full-sized pool, spa, rooftop bar and three open-to-the-public restaurants. SOHO House offers memberships for access to a number of amenities. Non-members can also book stays and event space.
