The Family Fun Festival returns to Millennium Park this summer, making the Park the place to be for kids of all ages. Every day beginning July 9 through September 2 from 10 am - 3pm, free family performances and hands-on activities will fill the Family Fun Tent, located on the Park's Chase Promenade North.
Start off the morning with Wiggleworms® instructors from the Old Town School of Folk Music as they lead young children in sing-alongs, circle dances and finger games at 10 am. Chill out with story time at 11 am during the Reading Circle then move to the grooves with live music and dance Family Performances daily at 1 pm from some of the most notable names in local and regional entertainment.
Take part in interactive activities and projects throughout the day led by the area's favorite museums and cultural organizations. The weekly-rotating series includes plenty of sights, sounds and tastes for our youngest residents and visitors, from making colorful Pop-inspired creations with the Art Institute of Chicago to crafting green inspirations with Lurie Garden.
The Family Fun Festival at Millennium Park is sponsored by Target and presented by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, in partnership with the Chicago Office of Tourism and Culture. Please note that if temperatures exceed 97 degrees inside the Family Fun Festival tent, the event will close.
