Explore the Chicago Children’s Museum for free! Kids under 15 get into the Children’s museum for free on the first Monday of every month, and everyone gets in free on Thursdays from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Playing and learning meet at the many exciting exhibits in this museum dedicated to the development of children’s curiosity and growth. Visit the Inventing Lab where your kids can invent their own flying machine. Dig into the excavation pit and see Suchomimus, a fish-eating dinosaur, at the Dinosaur Expedition. Head to the bottom of the ocean and scale the Kovler Family Climbing Schooner. Climb a tree, explore a cave, create a water fountain, and more at the many permanent exhibits.
From now through September 1, 2008, have a block party and meet your neighbors! Make a pizza, whip up some tacos, or stir up some stir-fry. Stop by the ice cream shop, and then hit the stage. Become a rock star or relax on a picnic blanket on the lawn.
