Chicago Obama Style Day 2 - Tour Chicago's Field Museum, Grant Park, Hutchinson Field and Shedd Aquarium

What better place to start Day 2 of your Obama tour than at the site of the amazing election night rally seen around the world at Hutchinson Field in Grant Park (337 E. Randolph, 312.742.7648)? It was here that our new President said, "If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible; who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time; who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer."

From Grant Park, you're within walking distance of three spectacular world-class institutions which make up Chicago's lakefront Museum Campus: The Field Museum (1400 S. Lake Shore Drive; 312.922.9410), Adler Planetarium (1300 S. Lake Shore Drive; 312.922.STAR), and Shedd Aquarium (1200 S. Lake Shore Drive; 312.939.2438). All three museums offer great spots to grab a tasty lunch.

Or — if it's baseball season and the White Sox have a home game — grab a hot dog while you spend the afternoon watching Obama's favorite team in action at U.S Cellular Field (333 W. 35th; 312.674.1000).

Enjoy a leisurely dinner at Topolobampo (445 N. Clark; 312.661.1434), a frequent date night spot for the Obamas who like the incomparable regional Mexican dishes. Chef-owner Rick Bayless' emphasis on a menu which changes monthly and includes Mexican festival food, wild game, and little known specialties prepared with beautiful — often organic and custom grown – ingredients has earned this elegant restaurant many awards for excellence.

End your evening with great music. Obama told Rolling Stone that one of the many diverse musicians sharing space on his iPod is Howlin' Wolf — an icon blues great Buddy Guy said (also in Rolling Stone) helped make "Chicago the world capital of the blues." Hear more soul-stirring blues at Buddy Guy's Legends (754 S. Wabash; 312.427.1190).
